The brand name "APLOM" was inspired by the ballet term meaning "axis, one's own, well-balanced." We want to be a brand that supports those who want to maintain their own "axis" and balance and stay supple and beautiful forever. This is the feeling we have instilled in our brand.

She has a wide range of experience, from IT companies, CEO secretaries, accounting, and engineering. While there are a lot of career support and management for athletes when graduating from university, joining in, the ballet company, and finding employment, she wonders why there is not enough career management for ballet dancers. She also feels that ballet is not being properly promoted in the general society.

As each dancer has different career aspirations, she felt the need for a place that could provide career support and management tailored to each dancer, and so she founded BACKSTAGE PRODUCTS, Inc., which also provides job hunting support for dancers after they retire or as part of their second career.
Aiming to embody the company's philosophy of "bringing the art of ballet closer to people," APLOM has stores not only in Japan but also in Paris, France.
